The Olds Albertan was established in 1993 by Murray Elliott and Jack Tennant, and purchased by Great West Publishing in 2005 in partnership with Murray Elliott. It is a free distribution newspaper serving Olds, Bowden, Torrington, Wimborne and area with a circulation of 6,900. It is published by Mountain View Publishing Inc. which also publishes the Carstairs Courier, Didsbury Review, Sundre Round Up, the Innisfail Province, and the Mountain View Gazette.
