Organizers of the Water Valley Rodeo were pleased with the turnout last weekend, during the 59th annual event held on June 2 and 3.
“We have a very loyal crowd,” said Hilary Hahn, rodeo secretary. “The weather was pretty good, except for one small hailstorm during the calf roping event on Saturday. The turnout was great, with nearly 1,000 people a day showing up to watch.”
The weekend was highlighted by the fact that there were no injuries of stock. “There were just minor injuries of some cowboys,” added Hahn.
Official results will be posted later this week on the Foothills Cowboy Association website at www.fcarodeo.com.
